On-Air Quiz Contest
On-Air Quiz Programme
As part of the BARC Golden Jubilee Celebrations and HamfestIndia2009, an On-Air Quiz was conducted on 7th August 2009. This event was jointly conducted in collaboration with Hoopla Club, www.hooplaclub.com This event demonstrated to the participant schools that an inter-school quiz can be conducted with participants being in their own schools and how Ham Radio can be used to achieve this.
The Quiz Master was VU2WMY & the Score Keeper was VU3PZA.
Nine schools from all parts of Bangalore participated in this quiz. The participant schools were St. Michaels, coordinated by VU2GGM; Vidhya Prakash School, coordinated by VU2TYG; Bishop Cottons, coordinated by VU2DKV & VU3PKE; Aryan Presidency School, coordinated by VU2VTM,VU2NTA & VU2SSC; Delhi Public School - North, coordinated by VU2YZ & VU2DPE; Delhi Public School - South, coordinated by VU3GHM & VU3SIM; Royale Concorde International School, coordinated by VU3HDP, VU3HDO & VU3LBR; St. Mira's High School, coordinated by VU3VRL; Daffodils English High School, coordinated by VU3JBH & VU2VTX.
The first prize went to Royale Concorde International School, followed by the second prize to Delhi Public School North and the third price to Bishop Cottons School.
The control room was set up at the Bharat Scouts & Guides Hq., and was coordinated by VU2FI & VU2LU. The quiz was conducted on the VU2TWO repeater. BARC thanks Hoopla Club, all the participant schools and the coordinating hams who made this event successful.
