JOTA - 2008

Bangalore Amateur Radio Club has always been associated with the Scout and Guide movement and one of the primary reasons being that BARC meets every month at the Bharat Scouts and Guides HQ, in the heart of Bangalore city. Jamboree on the Air (JOTA) is an annual event common to Scouts and Hams, when hams put the scouts across the world together "on the air".
This year 51st year of JOTA and 11th Year of JOTI, VU2ARC the club callsign was operated by BARC members at the Bharath Scouts & Guides Hq., near Bangalore Medical College, Bangalore on 18 & 19 October 2008.
More than 100 scouts and guides were put on air who exchanged greetings with scouts and guides from other JOTA stations.
